"Rev Glendenning Residence, Chappaqua, N.Y." (the name was printed incorrectly on this postcard - the correct spelling is Rev. Clendenin after Reverend Frank Clendenin, Gabrielle Greeley's husband).
Built by Horace Greeley for use as a barn, this was the first concrete veneered building in the United States. In 1892 Horace's daughter Gabrielle and her husband Rev. Frank Clendenin, converted the barn into their home, later naming it Rehoboth House.
