New Museum Los Gatos

New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU) is a dual-focused art and history museum with the mission to engage the community at the intersection of art, history, and education through innovative, locally connected, and globally relevant exhibitions, programs, and experiences. The museum has been a collecting institution since its founding as the Los Gatos Museum Association in 1965, and has an eclectic assortment of objects, artifacts, belongings, ephemera, and artwork in its permanent collections. In 2020, NUMU launched the grant-funded Los Gatos History Project, which called for the first-ever full collections inventory and digitization. What is presented here are the results of this cataloging endeavor, and as the project is still ongoing, new records will be added regularly.
