Dear Mr. Goode:
RE: ORONO TOWN HALL - TOWER CLOCK
Further to my attending your Board meeting on March 14th and my bringing Mr. Richard Haze of Haze Timepieces, Pickering, Councillor Frank Stapleton has indicated you may be looking for additional information. Mr. Haze at the meeting had reviewed with your Board the problems with the existing Tower Clock and the possibility of a replacement clock but retaining the existing dial and hands. His preliminary review and research indicated the cost would likely be + $10,000. installed. This information was supplied for your Board's information should at some time in the future, when your priorities would allow a solution for the clock.
Further to my recent letter concerning the building profile for the Orono Town Hall, I have requested the firm of Totten Sims Hubicki and Associates to include the information concerning the clock in the profile. I trust this will meet with your approval and should you require additional information please call me at 623-3379 ext. 284.
