Dear Frank and Alma,
Rec'd your leter Frank of June 19 on the 6th and yours of June 1 Alma on the 16th. Feels good to hear from home. The mail is coming through okay now. We do get some that are mailed later, earlier than some that are mailed earlier. Hope that makes sense. I mean a letter mailed on the 10th sometimes gets here earlier that one mailed on the 5th.
It is pretty warm here. Day before yeaterday 140 degrees in the shade. That desert wind is really hot. I feel pretty good. I may be lossing a little weight now, I dont know. Appetite is bo good in hot weather.
The company gave us some beer last night. We had no ice

for it tho and so it wasn't as good as it could have been. It was beer tho and had a good taste. I am sorry I didn't drink more of it in the states
Didn't know that Bill S. was getting married. Who is the lucky girl? Glad Bob was home. Bet he does look good in uniform.
Have you seen Helen lately? She had an infected toenail and I wonder just how bad it is. Said she was going back to work. I hope its ok. There are letters from Helen in between her last two that I havent gotten yet.
Will sign off hopping this finds you both in o.k. shape.\Love
Chuck
P.S. If its a while before you hear from me dont worry, you folks keep writing.Transcriber
