Description

Preparing the site for the installation of a historical marker honoring Newton Township's first settlers, Alexander and Sarah Sutherland. The marker was installed at the intersection of Hallock-Young and Hallock-Sook Road to celebrate the township's bicentennial. L-R: John Jakubec, Milton Township trustee, helped with concrete and brick work; Dave Ford, Newton Township road supervisor, helped prepare the site; Peter Augusta, Newton Township trustee; and Delbert Woloski, Newton Township trustee chairman.
