Pictured is Eddie and Ann Chopko in 1953. Both graduates of Newton Falls High School, Ed and Ann stopped for coffee at the Broadway Lunch where the owners told them they were thinking of selling. By the time Ed and Ann finished their coffee they made an offer. Ed had been a cook in the Army. The name changed to Eddie's Haven and coffee was five cents a cup, no charge for refills. Open twenty four hours a day for a while Ed and Ann had the restaurant from 1946-1962.Photograph Details
