Wendell F. Lauth of the Trumbull County Historical Society provides historical data on the 1802 Duck Creek Settlement, located near the intersection of Hallock-Young and Hallock-Sook Roads. The township erected a historical marker in honor of these early settlers to celebrate its bicentennial.
