L-R: Township Trustee Chairman Delbert J. Woloski and Trumbull County Commissioner Michael J. O'Brien at the historical marker dedication ceremony. Newton Township celebrated its bicentennial by erecting a historical marker at the intersection of Hallock-Young and Hallock-Sook Road in honor of its first settlers, Alexander and Sarah Sutherland.
