Description

Newton Township celebrated its bicentennial by erecting a plaque at the intersection of Hallock-Young and Hallock-Sook Road in honor of its first settlers, Alexander and Sarah Sutherland. Township trustee Peter J. Augusta unveils the historical marker as other township officials look on. L-R: Kay Lingo, township clerk; George Prelac, township trustee; and Delbert Woloski, township trustee and chairman.
