My Dear Frank & Alma
A few lines hoping you are both well & happy.
Elva wrote me to the effect that she had seen you both & I decided to pen you a few lines.
Really have no exciting news, I wish I had, but as you will have noticed, I've changed my address, & not for the better, well not as regards having fun is concerned, you see its a convalescent home, have been here 3 months now, but hope to return by the end of March, a little overworking I guess, still I'm feeling ok now apart from a cold that has been hanging over me, due to the changes in the weather, we have a raging gale for a day or so, & then its comparatively warm for a while.
Was very sorry to learn of the death of Franks sister, I do offer my sympathy, very deeply, I fully realise what it is like to lose some-one close to you.
Dad has not been too well lately. he wrote me to say his nerves were cracking up a bit, he had also had ?, had been forced to have a few teeth and, well really I think it is the strain of the war years telling on us all now it is over, I really don't know how we managed to keep up to it at times.
Do hope you are feeling better Frank on re-reading Elvas letter I notice you were not feeling to well when she saw you.
This place is only 5 miles from the sea-coast, so we are able to go once a week, the two most popular places are "?," we (my friend & I) are going into "?" tomorrow to see a film called "Nob-Hill" have you seen it, the girls tell me it is rather good, I hope so.
Well the bell has gone for supper so I must close,
With Love
Jean
