Prehistoric artifact from NW coast of Alaska, composed of ivory or mineralized bone.
Bone section, flat on one side and rough on the other side. A hole drilled in one end, other end is squared off and thinned, possibly to insert. Some material removed on the length of the rounded side, other side which might have been a thumb rest. Possible handle function.
