Ladies black silk dress bodice or blouse, part of 1910s era dress ensemble. 4 covered buttons front closure, black net cutout lace collar, upper neck area, and sleeve cuffs. Embellished overall with elaborate lace soutache embroidery especially at yoke, lower torso area and mid-sleeves. Full length sleeves. Wrap-around stand up collar with stiffener inserts. 2 straps a bottom fasten around waist to hold blouse down. Passementerie trim, bows on sleeves. Front closure and collar has multiple hook and eyelet fasteners. Label in back: S. Schmalzbach, Women's Custom Tailoring Shop, 1225 Walnut St. Philadelphia.
