Gold Bracelet, jewelry, clasp closure, fern designs carved on surface. Shelf label reads: This Carved Gold Bracelet belonged to Mrs. Wigg Maternal Grandmother of Marcus Dailey, and Great Grandmother to his nine children. We believe it to have been carved in the mid to late 1800's, as our father was born in 1919. These types of bracelets were carved for "High Caste" Children. The more gold bracelets one owned would show the native community where their place was within the tribe.
