Ship's compass manufactured by E.S. Ritchie and Sons, Boston. Mounted in gimbaled wood box. Serial #50574. Compass has 5" diameter glass lens. 8" to outside yoke mounts. Compass rotates freely. Housing and gimbal painted black. Box missing lid is natural wood color with dovetail joints. Compass is liquid filled, cardinal points painted black. Appears fully functional, some tarnish stains on box.
