Man, a member of the Dodge family of New York. Image is the bust of a young man wearing jacket, vest, white shirt with stand up collar and neck tie / bow tie, fashionable in the 1840s. The photo is in a metal case with a gold painted curving mat. The frame's back is covered with dark brown leather decorated with a flower basket design.
