Scope and Content

Copy of the 1958 Wrangell Telephone Directory. Contains all telephone numbers for residents and businesses located in Wrangell, AK. Cover is green, with the interior having both telephone numbers as well as advertisements for local businesses. Front cover is an advertisement for City Motor Service, surrounded by the text "For FIRE ONLY Dial 500/ Wrangell Telephone Directory/ 1958/ Alaska Telephone Corporation/ FOR POLICE DIAL:/ 9134 Before - 9 P.M. - After 2701". Printed on the back is an advertisement for Bunness Bros., surrounded by the text "For FIRE ONLY Dial 500/ FOR POLICE DIAL:/ 9134 Before - 9 P.M. - After 2701". Inside, some handwritten notes and additional phone numbers have been added in pencil. Small hole punched through booklet in top, left corner, with entire booklet held together by the staples along the spine. Dimension; height 9", width 6".
