Ladies black silk dress jacket, part of 1910s era dress ensemble. Light weight jacket has wide lapels, large yoke collar decorated with wide striped applique and lavish passementerie. 2 large covered buttons front closure. Buttons fasten into large braided cordage loops. Vented in back for movement. Ends of long sleeves decorated same as collar. Label in back: S. Schmalzbach, Women's Custom Tailoring Shop, 1225 Walnut St. Philadelphia. Front ends in longer points at hem.
