Labret, limestone. Traditional Tlingit body adornment worn in a body piercing just below the bottom lip. Worn by women. The size of a labret was an indicator of social status. It looks like a limestone irregular shaped cylinder with enlarged flat ends. Tan color with brown patina & scratches overall. Jewelry.
