Scope and Content

Dog license for the city of Wrangell. Printed on a small sheet of paper, with spaces left blank to be filled in by whoever applied for the license. This one has been filled in, and the license reads "TOWN OF WRANGELL. $2.00/ No. 3 Dog and Bitch License. No Tag 3/ Wrangell, Alaska July 18 1904/ St. Michael Trdg. Co. having paid into the Treasury of the Town of WRANGELL the/ sum of Two Dollars is hereby Licensed to keep One Dog within the Town Limits for the period of one/ year from July 18 1904 to July 18 1905/ J. E. Worden/ CLERK TOWN OF WRANGELL." Stamped at the bottom of the license is a seal for the town of Wrangell. Dimension; height 3.5", width 7.5".
