Sewing machine, treadle style, with complete oak cabinet and 6 drawers. Number 5 model Free Sewing Machine Co, Chicago. Cabinet top folds back while raising sewing machine. The lid becomes an additional work surface. Black machine decorated with gilded peacocks, leaves, wings. Worn finish on the entire unit. Appears to be complete. Serial number C10968. Patent dates on bobbin cover: 1902,1905,1907,1909,1910. Small accessories stored in machine's cabinet drawer.
