Shipwreck artifact, SS Mariposa. A brass (or bronze?) porthole deadlight cover plate, a cover component of 2020.009.001 swing plate and backing plate. Seals light out of window, and serves as storm cover. Rubber gasket fossilized in place. Steamship.
