Each page features drawings and illustrations to accompany the information. The front cover reads "welcome to/ ALASKA", and the image of part of a totem pole, as well as an illustration of Alaska and various animals and industries related to it. The back features the rest of the totem pole image from the front, as well as the text "Alaska Salmon Institute/ Ketchikan - Juneau - Seattle". Held together by two staples along the spine.
