The two siblings were once pupils of Fred Sloman and took lessons on his school car CNR No. 1. The actual car is in Clinton ON, Sloman's hometown but the museum has made a replica.

Discusses the Sloman school car and NORMHC's replica. Fred Sloman taught on CNR School Car No. 1 which ran from Capreol to Foleyet from 1926 until 1964. School cars were commissioned by the government of Ontario to provide education to rural Northern Ontario communities.
