Context

The exhibition was a compilation of paintings painted by Charles Patchers commemorating aspects of the First World War. The book showcases both the paintings as well as essays the compliment the themes presented in them. The book was published by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and pairs each painting with an essay written that compliment each painting, reflecting on either the writers' personal experiences or their research.
