The International Nickel Corporation of Canada was founded in 1902, when the Canadian Copper Company and Orford Company merged with the financial backing of American banker J. P. Morgan and Charles Schwab of Carnegie Steel. It was the world's leading producer of Nickel. By 2006 INCO was bought out by the Brazilian company Vale.
