Context

The book is part of a series of eight books covering all events and developments that happened between those years, specifically because the railroad that lead to New Ontario (Lake Temiskaming) had just been completed in 1903. The book specifically discusses the development of the mining industry in the Temiskaming district and how the helped to develop the towns. It also discusses the impact of the railway and how it helped the town develop. In addition, it discusses the disaster of the Great Fire of 1922 and how it impacted the towns, since the majority were destroyed.
