Compilation of forms instructing on trains going through the Bala subdivision, North of Elgin on January 4th, 1989. The first form is a clearance form, instructing train: extra 9542 North of Elgin and the orders are "Toronto GB 1238," the clearance is void once it arrives at South Parry. The second pages is Form 19, for train orders, the orders are for: trains to the Bala subdivision North of Elgin at the Macmillan Yard, they are told that: due to track circuit conditions do not exceed forty 40 miles per hour between mileage sixty eight point five 68.5 and mileage sixty nine point four 69.4 Bala sub, it is repeated at 0125. The third form is the daily operating bulletin for the Great Lakes Region on January 11th, 1989, which includes the Bala Subdivision.

Canadian National was created following the end of the First World War, by combining five lines which were financially troubled. It soon became the largest railway in the country.
Canadian National Railways was founded in 1919 as a combination of several railways that had become bankrupt and were being ran by the Canadian Government Railways, its primary service was freight but also operated passenger service until 1978 until it was absorbed by VIA rail. The Canadian National Railways was created by the Government of Canada as a means to fund the failing railway corporations including: Intercolonial Railway of Canada, National Transcontinental Railway, Prince Edward Island Railway, and Hudson's Bay Railway.Collection
