Book, compilation of news paper clippings, reports, photographs and other various sources compiled to tell the history of the town of Capreol. The book discusses the origins of the town, how it was founded, and all other events that took place between when the town site was laid out in 1913, and the book's publishing in 1930. It contains historical maps, photographs, and stories. This version of the book is a scrapbook, assumed to be the drafted copy as there are edits made throughout it. Distinguishing Features: The scrapbook eventually became a published book on the history of Capreol

Context

This book was part of the series of Tweedsmuir Community History Books. These types of books were usually complied by the woman's auxiliary clubs of each community and were encouraged to be published to showcase the town's history.
