Description

Black and white photograph showing what appears to be either a freight or a mixed train at the Killarney (Manitoba) station circa 1920. The train is on the left side of the photo, and the station building is to the right. There are multiple people on the platform as well as baggage carts. It is undetermined whether or not the train is being loaded or unloaded. Next to the platform is a dirt road with two automobiles and a horse and cart parked on them. What appears to be milk cars in the foreground makes it likely they are a product of a local dairy farm being shipped out to a major centre Distinguishing Features: none

Construction began in 1881 and lasted well into the 1900s to build lines connecting Canada from Vancouver to Montreal.
