Black and white photograph showing Esther and Harold Prescott and their friends. The photograph was taken in 1948 and appears to have been taken at a camp, cottage, or beach house. The group is standing together on a dock. They are all in summer clothes, one woman is even wearing a bathing suit top. Esther is in a plaid shirt and checkered pants, to her left Harold is standing. Harold is wearing a striped shirt and a wide-brimmed hat.

Esther Lawrence was the wife of Harold Prescott. They married in 1932 and a total of 12 children: Don, Bob, Shirley, Crystal, Haroldene, Heather, Harry, Patricia, Bruce, Reginald, Douglas and Randy.
Harold Prescott was born in 1911 in Killaloe Ontario, in 1938 he came to Sudbury to work for INCO. In 1941 Prescott was hired to be a locomotive fireman for Canadian National in Capreol, later he became an engineer. By 1951 he became a town councilor and in 1955 he became mayor and remained as mayor for 13 years (minus 1962-1963). He is responsible for the donation of CN engine 6077 to Capreol in Prescott park, he also is credited for designing the Capreol flag.Collection
