Set of 3 Canadian National branded rolling stock blueprints for business cars. The drawings were done by the mechanical department in Moncton New Brunswick. Each blueprint is for a different business car they are as follows: 1. 53'-0" Business Car, PV-53-A, One Car: 34 2. 55'-6" Business Car, PV-55-B, One Car: 32 3. 66'-6" Business Car, PV-66-B, One Car: 57 Each blueprint includes: name, measurements, type of car, number of cars, capacity, names of the cars Distinguishing Features: Grey coloured paper

Context

Copies of the original documents, copies of the original blueprints for the Canadian National's business cars. Canadian National was created following the end of the First World War, by combining five lines which were financially troubled. It soon became the largest railway in the country. Canadian National Railways was founded in 1919 as a combination of several railways that had become bankrupt and were being ran by the Canadian Government Railways, its primary service was freight but also operated passenger service until 1978 until it was absorbed by VIA rail. The Canadian National Railways was created by the Government of Canada as a means to fund the failing railway corporations including: Intercolonial Railway of Canada, National Transcontinental Railway, Prince Edward Island Railway, and Hudson's Bay Railway.
