Grand Trunk postcard showing Steam Engine #713 at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa, Ontario. The front image shows the right side of the locomotive, so both the engine and tender are visible. The caption on the reverse side reads: "National Museum of Science and Technology Steam locomotive - Mogul (2-6-0) 1899 Musee des Sciences et de la Technologie Locomotive a vapeur - Mongul (2-6-0) 1899" The postcard is blank. Context

The Grand Trunk Railway was founded in 1852 with the goal of building a railway line between Montreal and Toronto. The railway operated in Canada and the US in the provinces/states of: Ontario, Quebec, Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. It also included three subsidiary lines: Grand Trunk Western, Central Vermont, and Grand Trunk Pacific. The company was later purchased by Canadian National in 1923
