Book, biography of Michael John O'Brien. O'Brien was a railway builder, philanthropist, was named to the Senate of Canada in 1918, and also founded the town of Renfrew Ontario. Born in Nova Scotia in 1851 O'Brien began working for the railway industry by age 18, and eventually he became part of the team for building the Kingston and Pembroke Railway in Renfrew Ontario. From 1902 until 1905 O'Brien was the commissioner of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway.
