Scope and Content

Book, Canadian Mining Journal published in November of 1937 (volume and number unknown) focused on the International Nickel Company of Canada. Front cover and first two pages are missing.

Context

The International Nickel Corporation of Canada was founded in 1902, when the Canadian Copper Company and Orford Company merged with the financial backing of American banker J. P. Morgan and Charles Schwab of Carnegie Steel. It was the world's leading producer of Nickel. By 2006 INCO was bought out by the Brazilian company Vale. The journal features a variety of stories discussing various aspects of mining and oil in Canada. There are also large amounts of advertisements throughout.
