The Canadian Centennial Numismatic Park opened on July 27, 1964, spearheaded by Ted Szilva, displaying a large scale replica of a nickel. The underground model mine was tunnelled and built in 1965 and expanded in 1969. The Park would later become known as the Big Nickel Mine, and by 2003, was redesigned into Dynamic Earth.Collection
