Description

Color photograph of two VIA Rail passenger trains, nos. 6785 and 6788 (?), at the Sudbury station. Canadian Pacific railroad cars in the railroad yard to the left of the VIA Rail trains. The Sudbury water tower can be seen in the background. Photograph is housed in a brown cardboard frame designed to look like a textile.

Context

These objects are part of the estate of the late Jim McRae. They were donated to the museum by Dale Wilson, to whom they was given by Jim's wife. Jim McRae was a Sudbury area train enthusiast who had donated objects to the museum in the past. He passed away in the summer of 2010 at the age of 85. He came from Manitoulin Island but he worked in Sudbury as a projectionist at the Odeon theater for many years. His father was Gore Bay's only pharmacist.
