Photograph of Canadian National School Car No. 4 in 1936. This was the McKay's first school car. It is a wide angle shot from one side of the car, attempting to get the whole car in the shot. There is also a Union Jack visible, flying off the back end of the car.

Angus and Helen McKay lived and taught on school cars from 1935 until 1950 originally on Canadian National school car No. 4, then on Temiskaming Ontario Northern Railway car No. 1. In 1940 for two years, Helen took over as the teacher while Angus went to serve during the Second World War.Collection
