Context

The Irondale, Bancroft and Ottawa Railway company was founded in 1880, and it was a short rail line operating in central Ontario. The intention was the ability to connect Orillia Ontario to Ottawa Ontario. It was merged into the Canadian Northern Railway in 1911, later taken over by Canadian National and continued to operate until 1960.
