Commemorative book detailing the history of the Church of the Epiphany, the first Anglican church in Sudbury, OntarioContext
The book discusses the history of both the founding of Sudbury as well as the church. The church was first built in 1890. Prior to its construction, Gowan Gillmour was working as a traveling missionary on the C. P. R. Line. The first resident priest was Rev. Charles Piercy who was appointed in 1890, he was able to identify fifty anglican families within Sudbury, thus there was a need for a church to be built.
The book then goes on to describe the construction and the appearance of the church as well as the changes to the building over the years.Collection
