Caroline Maben Flower was born in 1896 in Minnesota. She grew up to become a high class lady, studying piano in Berlin in order to become a socialite later in life. By 1906 she decided to move to rural Northern Ontario for health reasons. Instead she decided to join the gold prospecting camps in Colbalt and later Porcupine.
