The Moose Mountain Mine, located in the township of Sellwood, Ontario operated from 1907 to 1920. The property was leased from the Moose Mountain Limited from Lowphos Ore, a subsidiary of the National Steel Corporation. It was an iron mine.
Sellwood became a ghost town shortly after the mine closed. In 1959, the National Steel Company began operating in the area and removed the remains of the previous townsite due to open pit mining. The new mine closed in 1978.Collection
