Volume 1 of Will Smith's planned series of publications "Dining with Canadian Railways". This volume, titled "Canadian Pacific Chinaware", documents more than 250 chinaware patterns used on the CPR dining cars, aswell as Canadian Pacific's steamships, hotels, airlines, and restaurants. A map of the Canadian Pacific Railway is printed on the inside front and inside rear covers. There are 248 numbered pages. The book is bound in a red hard cover. On the front cover is a colour photograph of various chinaware centered below the title, which is printed in yellow and white text); the name of the author is printed in yellow below the photo. Centered on the rear cover is a reproduction of a CPR poster, featuring an image of a train in the Rockies in British Columbia, with the text "By Train Through the Canadian Rockies.
