A petition for the granting of Letters Patent from Charles E. Herrmann for his "improvement in briquetting plant", submitted to the Commissioner of Patents of the United States of America. These documents are in very good condition. There are two metal fasteners at the top of the first set of documents, and a single metal fastener in the top left corner of the duplicate specification documents. These are starting to rust and should be removed by a professional to prevent further damage to the documents.
