A black and white photograph of the storefront of what is now (current, 2019) the M & R restaurant on Young Street (near Front Street). The names "Rex" and "Willard are visible to the left and right of the door, respectively. Below the right-hand and left-hand windows there are two signs with the words "Stonewall Jackson". There are three boys sitting on the step in front of the door. There is a single gas pump slightly to the left of the door on the street. (This was installed in 1922, dating this photograph to 1922 or later).
The building is located on "Plexman Block". At the time of the photograph, it housed a billiard parlour, apartments and a dance hall upstairs. Beside to the left was the Audion theatre.Collection
