The Algoma Eastern Railway, originally called the Manitoulin and North Shore Railway was founded in 1888, the full mainline was completed by 1913 when it began full rail service. The railway served the shore on Lake Huron between Sudbury, Little Current, and Manitoulin Island. By 1930 the company was bought by Canadian Pacific.Collection
