Obituary and biography of William Walter Stull, a former Ontario Land SurveyorContext
William Walter Stull was born on April 19th, 1873 and died on February 10th, 1926. During the summer of 1896 he was working with a survey party led by Alex Niven of the Ontario Land Surveyors in Northern Ontario, and in 1899 he went to Sudbury Ontario to work as an apprentice surveyor, originally for John D. Evans, but later with the DeMorest and Sylvester Firm. By 1900 he was qualified to become an Ontario Land Surveyor and continued to work for DeMorest and Sylvester, in 1903 he became partner of the firm. By 1901, Stull married Carrie Carley, a sister of Mrs. DeMorest, the two had five children: Ted, Wildred, Kathleen, Elizabeth, and Eric.
In 1916, Stull was responsible for laying out the Town Site of Capreol for the Canadian Northern Railway, among doing other large surveys for the then Town of Sudbury.
William Stull was also responsible for the following surveys for the Provincial Government:

2. Townships of Allen and Bigwood (1906)
