Description

Older grey-haired lady sitting in a red upholstered armchair and wearing a long-sleeved grey dress with a v-neck softened by pleats. She is facing three-quarter right, but her head is turned so that she looks directly at the viewer. Her arms are resting on the chair arms, and only her left hand, wearing a band on the ring finger, is visible. She is wearing a strand of pearls, and the pin on her left bodice may have contained a watch.
