Sarah Fackler was born on 6 October 1783, in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland, to Michael John Fackler and Helfina Eleanora Shryock. She married Calvin Cogswell Morgan on 20 January 1801, in Staunton, Augusta, Virginia. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 22 August 1838, in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 54, and was buried in Old Gray Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee.
