Description

Black and white photograph of Kimpton's Jewelry Store in Oberlin, Ohio. There are many hand painted signs in the window. One sign says "Store closed for inventory. Kimpton and Wife. Successors to A.R. Kimpton." Another reads "To the public, I have just been married, so if I act foolish for a while, kindly excuse it. As I am already bald headed, I have no fear except from brooms etc." There are also other humorous messages to the public and pans, baskets, and drinking mugs hanging outside the window.
