Label

Donna McGary’s artwork took many avenues throughout her life. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1952 and continued her studies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and briefly in Japan. She taught weaving and modern dance at Antioch College and was also a research assistant in psychophysiology at Wright State. Working mainly in fiber, but also sometimes silver metal work, her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Craft in New York. She also performed with avant-garde musician John Cage.
